Crafting Excellence, One Home at a Time
For more than 40 years, Lee Wetherington Homes has been setting the standard for luxury homebuilding along Florida’s Suncoast. With over 4,000 homes designed and built, our reputation is built on innovation, quality, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. And now in Wild Blue there are only 6 opportunities left to build a luxury custom home with this excellent team. Shellstone is the next community offering the exclusive Wetherington line of semi-custom and custom homes
Every home we create is a reflection of superior craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a dedication to the details that matter most. From stunning architectural elements to energy-efficient, sustainable features, our homes are designed to stand the test of time—both in style and durability.

At Lee Wetherington Homes, we believe in pushing the boundaries of home design. Recognized with over 300 awards—including top honors from the Parade of Homes—our team is continuously innovating to deliver homes that are as functional as they are beautiful. Whether it’s incorporating cutting-edge building techniques or creating custom spaces that perfectly fit your lifestyle, we ensure that every detail is crafted with purpose.
A Legacy of Quality & Trust
As a locally owned and operated company based in Sarasota, we take pride in building more than just homes—we build lasting relationships. Our team is dedicated to delivering an unmatched homebuilding experience, guiding homeowners through every step of the process with expertise, transparency, and personalized service.
A Builder with a Purpose
Beyond building exceptional homes, we believe in building stronger communities. Through the Lee Wetherington Foundation, we’ve supported numerous initiatives, from providing housing for formerly homeless families to enhancing local parks and youth programs. Our commitment to giving back has earned us national recognition, including the Hearthstone Builder Lifetime Public Service Award from Builder Magazine.
At Lee Wetherington Homes, we love what we do. We build homes with purpose, passion, and precision—ensuring that every homeowner enjoys not just a house, but a place to truly call home. Reach out and let’s get started visioning your luxury retreat in Wild Blue or Shellstone. Call me: 941-726-2227
